A few measurements. A lot less guessing.
Length × width × depth ÷ 27
Convert depth to feet first. The result is cubic yards.THE NOT-SO-DIRTY DETAILS
Fill dirt is generally used to build up or shape an area. Topsoil is a surface layer used for lawns and landscaping. Composition varies, so match the material to your project’s requirements.
For a rectangular area, multiply length and width in feet by depth in inches, then divide by 324. The load planner does this for you. For irregular shapes, calculate smaller sections separately and add them together.
Plan for safe truck access, a firm and level unloading spot, and overhead clearance. Confirm vehicle requirements and the unloading location with your hauler before scheduling. Keep people and pets clear of the work area.
No. It creates a planning estimate you can download and keep. It doesn’t send your information, reserve material, schedule delivery, or provide pricing.
